International Friendship Center

What is an International Friendship Center (IFC)? They are an innovative model of community engagement and Gospel outreach ministry sponsored by People of the Book Lutheran Outreach (POBLO). IFCs provide free classes for immigrants and refugees located within our community.

Epiphany will offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to refugees or immigrants in our community. Classes will be held weekly on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. (choose one class weekly). Classes are held at Epiphany Lutheran Church in the Family Life Center in room 203. The address is 5515 Broadway Street, Pearland, Texas 77581.

We are in need of volunteers to offer their time on Monday evenings (7:00 – 8:00 p.m.) and Tuesday mornings (9:00 – 10:00 a.m.) as teachers, greeters/conversationalists and snacks. All volunteers will be fully trained and no previous experience is needed. Please consider joining the team at Epiphany for this International Friendship Center. Click here to volunteer!
