LADIES—You are invited to come together for W.I.S.H. DAY IV on Saturday, February 24 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. WISH DAY is an opportunity to get to know each other better, enjoy a light brunch and participate in several mission projects without having to pack a suitcase and find your passport. As we have in the past, we will begin the time with a short devotion, enjoy brunch and then split up into groups to work on the projects.  The projects chosen—stamp trimming, quilt tying, and fleece blanket knotting—all lend themselves to working while talking with those around you so we encourage you to move from project to project in order to meet as many ladies as possible. There is the possibility of another project or two being added to the rotation. Watch the bulletin announcements in February for additional information.

Mark your calendars now for the morning of February 24. See you there!

This is an opportunity for teens, ladies and gentlemen! Ushers serve a vital role for the congregation especially during worship services. Several volunteers in the usher group are no longer able to serve so your help is badly needed. Currently, ushers have to serve 2-3 Sundays a month to cover the shortage. Normally ushers commit to 1 of 4 Sunday services per month and 1 fifth Sunday a year. Special services like Lent, Advent and Confirmation are on a voluntary basis. If you can serve, contact Jeff Hartwig.

A leader is needed for our Health Ministry, which is dedicated to providing a ministry of holistic health support of body, mind and spirit. The ministry also offers blood pressure screening, blood donor information, CPR training and organ donation information. If you are interested, please contact Dorian Cornelius at dorian@epiphanypearland.org.

We need YOU! Men or women. (Yes-men can do this too.) If you can help with setting up communion, now is the time to join the Altar Guild. It’s easy to do and it takes about 30 minutes on the day you serve. You never do it by yourself, always with someone else. So please contact Marlene Heinrich to get involved.

Those with young children likely know about the busy bags at all worship services. They are little bags with colors, a pencil, books and scrap paper for coloring. We need someone to maintain the busy bags on a weekly or bi-weekly basis so they are fresh and ready for kiddos on Sunday. If you are interested, please contact Dorian Cornelius at dorian@epiphanypearland.org.
