Pastor Jon Salminen is a native of Michigan and is an avid Detroit Lions fan. He did his undergraduate work at Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. After graduating in 1983, he served as a DCE at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Barrington, IL until 1985 when he entered Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated in 1989 and came to Pearland to start a mission congregation which became Epiphany Lutheran Church. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA in 2005. Pastor Jon is married to Linda; they have two children: Bethany and Daniel who is married to Kristen. Daniel and Kristen have three sons, Judah, Micah and Eli.
